Missouri Vocational Enterprises Branding and Style Guide

You are representing the Missouri Vocational Enterprises as an agency whenever you communicate about official department matters. If you are preparing a document that will be seen by Missouri General Assembly, a contracted service provider, a job candidate or an agency, presentation matters. We all have a shared responsibility to prepare our communications with a high degree professionalism and ensure that they are properly branded with our official logo and department mission: Training Today for a Successful Tomorrow.

The following logo reference guide shows acceptable use of the MVE logo; colors used in the logo and secondary variations for special use only.

The logo is available in two file formats for basic uses. JPEG format is useful for most documents where transparency is not necessary. When placing the logo on a color background, PNG format is useful when transparency around the logo is desired (no white bounding box). Do not modify the official MVE logo in any way. When scaling the logo in your publications, lock aspect ratio (MS Office and similar programs) to maintain proportions and avoid distortion. Manually resizing, in most computer applications, involves holding down the control (Windows) or command (Mac) as you resize the logo.

Distortion of logo or using the logo much too small in scale undermines the authority that would otherwise accompany its presence on your document.

The MVE logo is composed of a arch over the outline of the state of Missouri. It features the colors: red, blue and yellow.

At this time, there is only a stacked logo (vertical) and not a horizontal logo design.

Avoid using the logo at small sizes, as it can become illegible.

Always use the logo files provided and do not recreate the logo.

The full-color logo is the primary logo for MVE. It should be used one white, black, or colored backgrounds. If it is layered on a photo, then a white outline may be used.

The grayscale logo is to be used only in black and white colorways.

If the background is solid black, then an all white logo may be used.

The MVE logo with our mission statement can be used collaboratively.

The mission statement is in Century Gothic bold and in all capital letters. Training Today for s Successful Tomorrow is in Century Gothic bold and is in PMS color 193 C.

Our mission statement should be used centered under the MVE logo on the majority of our printed materials.

Arial Black is used as the typography in our logo. We also use it in our advertisements as an item number.

Arial Regular is to be used as an item description and supporting text.

Century Gothic Bold is to be used as a header, a price point, and our contact information / mission statement.

Century Gothic Regular is to be used as a supportive typography.

For departments we join MVE in Arial Black with the department name in Century Gothic Regular.
